Antique Gold Candle Base from the mid-18th century. A resplendent gold gilt weathered to expose a rusty underpaint from years before. Spearing carvings line the candle holder while blooming egg-and-dart motifs cover the bobiche. At the base is a lightly engraved flower. It all sits on a three-legged base.
