Striking Antique Gilt Louis Phillipe Mirror from the 1850s. Striping on the frame illuminates this piece. The mercury mirror edges carry strings of serpentine patterning that feature lotuses at the center. Alternating between the details are oval beads traveling all around the frame. A crown of leaflets sits atop the crest and is accompanied by florals and rosette motifs. A gorgeous brick rest patina emerges through the wear, giving this a warm and shining look.
